Peer Mentor
Program
About the Program
The Peer Mentor Program is designed to assist first-year engineering students at UNB by introducing them to the various resources available on campus and the range of events organized by the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) and other related sub-societies. This program also offers a valuable platform for new students to connect with upper-year peers, allowing them to inquire about experiences and gain insights into common challenges and best practices to navigate their first year effectively.

Jaswin Krishnamoorthy
My name is Jaswin Krishnamoorthy, and I am currently in my third year of pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. For the upcoming academic year, I will serve as one of the Co-Peer Mentor Leads, where I will oversee the operations of the Peer Mentor Program and making sure we can guide the new students through their first year at UNB seamlessly. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing sports such as cricket and tennis, as well as volunteering at my local temple. Should you have any questions about first-year courses or activities, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Nichole Baya
Hi there! I'm Nichole Baya and I am a 5th year Chemical Engineering student. I have been very involved around and outside of UNB since my second year and I am excited to be a peer mentor again this year. Outside of academics, I enjoy CrossFit training, playing volleyball, and baking treats. I am here to support you so please do not hesitate to reach out to me or come see me during my peer mentor office hour or EUS office hour!
Alexa Pelletier
Alexa Pelletier (she/her) is completing her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering while also working as a supply teacher at the high school level. Raised in the small town of Grand Falls, NB, her upbringing inspired a deep love for sports and the outdoors. Alexa spent five years playing university rugby for the UNB REDS and remains actively involved in recreational sports. As a passionate advocate for mental health, she plans to pursue a master’s in counselling to help support others on their personal journeys. As a peer mentor, Alexa is all about creating a welcoming space where everyone feels included and supported, so feel free to reach out with any questions or just for a chat! Fun fact: I can show you cute pictures of my fur-babies!
